McLean Lawyers, Ross C. McLean and John W.E. Gilbert

Never ever use this firm. Ross appointed himself as lawyer for my family's estate. It took him 4 years to complete an estate consisting of a bank account and a car with the spouse as the beneficiary. He paid himself a Executor's fee at the incorrect rate. Neglected to file for the death benefit or the Cpp survivor's benefit and charged $13,000 in legal fees in addition to the Executor fee. When we asked for an accounting of time spent the answer was he doesn't bill based on time spent but rather at a % of the estate. This lawyer is an absolute nightmare to deal with. He will not respond to emails or phone calls. Next he appointed himself as Executor for my Uncle's estate and is attempting to victimize my family again. We are going to have to involve the police, the courts and the Law Society to make things right.
